Parkbus Aspromonte
From the sea to the moutains
After the public’s great success in recent years, the “Parkbus” also returns for the summer season this year. It is an initiative that allows visitors to the MArRC to reach the Aspromonte National Park using eco-buses accompanied by official tour guides and make excursions to discover the wonders of this protected area by walking through the paths of great natural and cultural value.
Among the excursions that stand out are the Vallata delle grandi Pietre, with Pietra Cappa (the largest monolith in Europe) and that of Bova-Roghudi dal “borgo al Paese fantasma” (from the “village to ghost town”). New to the 2019 edition is the excursion “dalle grandi Pietre al borgo” (“from the great stones to the village”), which will involve the municipality of San Luca and the walk along the La Croce plateau towards the top of Mount Fistocchio from which you can enjoy a breath-taking view. The closing at night with the sunset over the Straits seen from Gambarie is not to be missed.
