For some time, the people of Reggio have had the opportunity to admire the view from the Strait from a completely new point: the Ferris Wheel on the Falcomatà waterfront. Inaugurated in April 2019, it has 24 cabins with 6 seats, which are protected by a glass system that guarantees safety and excellent visibility.
Admire the view
The Ferris Wheel is a privileged way to admire the Falcomatà waterfront, defined as “the most beautiful kilometres in Italy”: a different perspective from which to enjoy the beauty of the artistic, cultural, botanical, and historical heritage in the Reggio area, without forgetting the incredible view of Etna.
DID YOU KNOW THAT …?
The Reggio Ferris Wheel is 35 metres high and is one of the largest in Italy.
An unforgettable scenario
Available until June, the Ferris Wheel has quickly become a great attraction for both the people of Reggio and tourists, who have welcomed it with great enthusiasm.
Less than 100 metres from the Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, where the Riace bronzes are kept, the wheel is also equipped with a cabin that is wheelchair accessible. People of all ages (even babies in strollers and small dogs can get on the wheel. With one ticket, you are entitled to three complete tours.
A VIP cabin with four seats is also available, where a bottle of Prosecco is served: a most unusual and delicious way to admire this incredible natural scenery.
